Shandyn H. Pierce

Shandyn is an associate in the Appellate Practice Group at Hanson Bridgett LLP in San Francisco, where he focuses on appeals and law in motion in state and federal courts. Prior to joining Hanson Bridgett, Shandyn served as Assistant City Attorney and Assistant General Counsel to various municipal agencies in the Bay Area. Shandyn is passionate about servant leadership, devoting significant time throughout the year to pro bono work, community advocacy, and mentorship. In his free time, Shandyn enjoys reading philosophy, writing about life, and exploring the wonders of SciFi with his daughter.

Jason Siu

Jason is currently an associate at Horvitz & Levy’s San Francisco office, focusing his practice on appeals, complex litigation, and trial consultation. He previously clerked for Judge W. Eugene Davis of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, Judge Eldon E. Fallon of the Eastern District of Louisiana, and Judges Charles R. Breyer and Vince Chhabria of the Northern District of California. He earned his law degree from Berkeley Law and concurrently received a Master of Public Policy from the Goldman School of Public Policy. He was also an adjunct professor at the UC College of the Law, San Francisco, teaching legal research and writing to first-year law students. He enjoys spending his time with family and friends, traveling, and cooking (he previously won an iron chef contest in college).

Attorney Jason Siu

Kian Tamaddoni

Kian is an attorney at Benedon & Serlin, LLP, where he focuses on civil appeals and writs, substantive law & motion practice, and trial consultations. Although the firm is based in Woodland Hills, he lives and primarily works in the San Francisco Bay Area. He previously was an associate at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP, where he devoted substantial time to the Volkswagen In re Clean Diesel multidistrict litigation. After growing up in Los Angeles, he earned both his undergraduate and law degrees from UC Berkeley. During law school, he was an academic support tutor and externed for Judge Charles R. Breyer of the Northern District of California. In his free time, he enjoys upgrading his amateur cooking skills and learning from reality shows featuring Gordon Ramsay and Bobby Flay. He also loves to spend time outdoors, watch old movies, and relax with his rescue dog, Charlie.

Attorney Kian Tamaddoni

Dominika Anna Campbell

Campbell is an in-house writ attorney for Los Angeles Dependency Lawyers, Inc., and a California State Bar Certified Child Welfare Law Specialist. Campbell previously interned for the Riverside District Attorney and clerked for the Orange County Public Defender while studying law. She joined juvenile dependency practice as a parents’ trial attorney in 2017, before moving to child representation for a year and a half. In 2019, she returned to defending parents and became a dedicated writ attorney in 2021. In between writing statutory writs and arguing before the Second Appellate District, Campbell volunteers as a collegiate mock trial judge and tracks down juvenile dependency amicus opportunities. She also enjoys weightlifting and playing tug with her Great Dane.
